Yapmesh is serverless, offline-first messaging for Android. Phones form a mesh over an eight-rung ladder: internet, Wi-Fi router, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, SMS, screen-to-camera, sound, and any messaging app. Signed, end-to-end encrypted messages, voice notes and swarmed files move with no internet, no server, no accounts and no phone number; your key is your identity. Messages ride in other phones' pockets until they can be delivered, files spread faster the more phones hold them, presence is sensed only with consent, an SOS reaches every phone in reach, and a phone hands its own installer to the phone next to it. Groups have signed rosters and rotating keys; fences are groups that exist only inside a place. Yapmesh began in a classroom in Pakistan with no Wi-Fi. The protocol is public.

Logos
SVG and PNG, in colour, black, white and one-colour. Do not recolour the mark, add effects, or set it in another typeface. Please write "Yapmesh", not "YAPMESH", "yapmesh", "YapMesh" or "Yap Mesh".
The brand sheet has colours, type and clear space. The Android icon layers are in brand/android/; the Open Graph image is brand/og.png.
Screenshots
Real screens from the current build on two Samsung Galaxy A07 phones, in assets/img/ (PNG, WebP and AVIF). They may be used to describe Yapmesh. Nothing is a mock-up or a render. Two things were painted over and redrawn: the display name of the phone's owner, which is a real person's name, is replaced with "Amina"; and in the one image where the title bar is visible, the app's old working name is replaced with "Yapmesh". Screens whose body text still carries the old name are not published at all. Nothing else was altered, and where a screen shows an unflattering truth it is shown anyway. Please do not
- Call Yapmesh "unhackable", "military-grade" or "100% private". It is none of those and says so on its security page.
- Quote user numbers. There are none; the app has not been released.
- Describe iOS availability. It is in progress and not available.
